Prof IP DATA from PTG Engine

Utility Prof IP DATA from «PTG Engine» with DVB-cards Prof Red Series 6200/7300, Prof Revolution and Luxury CI is used to work with satellite Internet.

The most important advantage of the program is its stability of operation. Prof IP DATA can be used on a 24-hour basis as long as possible.

Prof IP DATA Description

Prof IP DATA

Dropdown list «Provider»

This is the list in which names of all preset and saved parameters of satellite Internet are contained. After selecting a provider data in the tabs «Tuner», «LNB» and «DiSEqC» is changed and comes into effect after pressing the key «Set» in the tab «Tuner».

The key «Add» saves the new provider and the parameters in the tabs «Tuner», «LNB» and «DiSEqC» are being used.

The key «Change» allows modify pre-set and saved parameters of providers.

Algorithm of editing the data about the provider:

1.Select a provider needed from the list.
2. Add required changes in the tabs «Tuner», «LNB» and «DiSEqC».
3. Press the key «Set».
4. Press the key «Change» and after this the data in the configuration file Prof IP DATA is being updated.

The key «Delete» wipes up a provider from the list along with all the parameters of signal, DiSEqc and converter.

Tab «Tuner»

Panel «Tuner Status»

Contains indicators that show «Signal level in percentage» and «Signal quality in percentage». Both indicators are divided in three color sectors red, yellow and green.

Color index: – reception without errors (in case if there is no interference).

  • Red – insufficient level or quality of signal, reception is impossible.
  • Yellow – insufficient level or quality of signal, reception with errors is possible.
  • Green – reception without errors (in case if there is no interference).

Panel «Transponder parameters»

Contains transponder parameters required for data reception.

In the input box «Frequency (MHz)» the central frequency of transponder in MHz is indicated. The central frequency is usually being used as in real conditions of reception the frequency varies in +/- 3 MHz. For example, in hot season LNB (converter) heats and the frequency drifts from the central level. The majority of cheap LNB in any season drifts from the set frequency in +/- 1 MHz. DVB-cards Prof successfully deal with “drifting” frequency owing to efficient search algorithms and lock of the necessary signal.

In the input box «Speed (kS/s)» transponder symbol rate is indicated in kilo symbols per second.

In the dropdown list «Polarization» required polarization can be chosen: vertical «V» or horizontal «H».

In the dropdown list «Type» transponder type is located: DVB-S or DVB-S2. In case if DVB-card does not support the standard DVB-S2 the list is blocked.

The dropdown list «FEC» contains data of errors predication corrector. It is obligatory required to indicate for DVB-S2, not required for DVB-S (setting for «Auto»).

The key «Set» allows activate parameters required for operation of DVB-card and parameters located in the tabs «Tuner», «LNB», «DiSEqC» and «MPE-filter».

The tick «Hide after Start» means that starting Prof IP DATA minimizes in system tray (box near clock).

Status of signal reception is displayed by icon color change:

  • Red – transponder is not locked or «Signal level» and «Signal quality» are not sufficient for reception.
  • Blue – transponder is locked, data is not being received.
  • Green – transponder is locked, data is being received. Speed of data transfer is displayed at the diagram available at the tab «MPE-filter» panel «Status».

Tab «LNB»

Panel «LNB»

Contains converter control parameters (LNB).

The dropdown list «LNB type» allows choose one of the widespread converter types. If choose «CUSTOM» (manual setting) the boxes «LOF 1» (frequency of the 1st heterodyne), «Switch» (frequency of heterodyne switching), «LOF 2» (frequency of the 2nd heterodyne) become active.

Power switch button «Power» switches on/ off converter power with the help of this DVB-card. Converter power indicator is located near this key. Green color indicator means that power is on.

Prof IP DATA

Tab «DiSEqC»

Panel «DiSEqC 1.0»

Contains control parameters of commutators on the basis of protocol DiSEqC version 1.0. All parameters come into effect by pressing the key «Set» in the tab «Tuner».

The tick «DiSEqC 1.0» activates the tab and turns on the mode of control of positioners, commutator.

The dropdown list «DiSEqC- switch» allows choosing a number of an active port.

The box «Repeat counts» allows predetermining the number of replays of control commands (if the commutator supports this option).

The box «Gap Time» - shows a period of time in milliseconds within which control command will be repeated.

Panel «DiSEqC 1.2»

Contains control parameters of commutators, positioners supporting control on the basis of protocol DiSEqC version 1.2. All parameters come into effect by pressing the key «Set» in the tab «Tuner».

The tick «DiSEqC 1.2» activates the tab and turns on the mode of control of positioners, commutator.

The box allows indicating a number of the position that is preset and saved in the memory of positioned.

The box «Repeat counts» is the quantity of replays of control commands (if the device supports this option).

Panel «RAW-command»

The tick «RAW-command» activates the tab and turns on the mode of control.

In the boxes «Data» control commands are added in sexidemical notation. Commands are being transferred by pressing the key «Set» in the tab «Tuner».

Prof IP DATA

Tab «MPE-filter»

Contains the data for filtration of the received traffic flow on the basis of MAC (identifier of a network device) or IP-address.

Panel «MPE-filter»

Contains data of filtration on the basis of MAC or IP-address.

As a filter you can select either «Default MАС address» (manufacturers MAC-address of DVB-card) or «MAC address» (MAC-address, being given by the provider). Besides you can choose «IP-address» (being given by the provider of satellite Internet).

Panel «Status»

Contains statistical information about the quantity of the received data in Mb as well as the speed of data reception that is displayed as an diagram.

Prof IP DATA

Tab «PID-filter»

Contains data for filtration of receiving traffic flow. Your number PID is indicated in the parameters of subscribing in “Personal Account” (find it out from satellite Internet provider).

Panel «Active PIDs»

Contains the table of numbers received by PID (column «PID») and their stratus (column «Status»). If there is a filter for this PID then in the column «Status» against PID number the inscription «Active» will appear.

Panel «PID-filter»

Contains the list of PID-numbers on the basis of which filtration of the flow is being performed. The key «Remove» is used to delete unused PID-numbers.

Panel «Add PID»

Contains the box « PID-value» for adding a new PID-number.

The tick «HEX» is used to input a PID-number in sexidecimal notation (on default in decimally).

The key «Add» adds a new PID-number in the filter list.
