Most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)Setup of Drivers Prof from the Inf-file
Setup of drivers with the help of inf-files is the only official way of setting drivers in Windows. All other ways are non-official and the developer of Windows Microsoft doesn’t guarantee that non-official "autoinstallers" will operate. Neither there is a guarantee that they will not make harm to the system entegrity or to Windows registry.
Prof Tuners Group Ltd strongly recommend to use only inf-files to set up drivers for the production Prof.

Note 1: Application for technical support are only accepted for the latest versions of drivers and software.
Note 2: In 90% of cases Users ask standard questions. Here you can find answers to them:
Qestion 1. After switching on IP DATA I start
DVBDream/AltDVB/ProgDVB/ etc. And see that a picture is glitching.
Answer: BDA-drivers build “a graph” for their operation and fully uses resources of DVB-card. Simultaneous operation of two applications with one and the same DVB-card is impossible. When using TV-utilities IP DATA should be closed.
Qestion 2: BSOD appears (BSOD).
Answer: Approximately once or twice a month we get a message about BSOD at the User’s PC.
BSOD is being caused by many different reasons. The most widely conflicts spread are equipment conflicts. The second type of conflicts is conflicts of devices drivers. The third type is errors of filters, errors of decoders, system errors. Errors in the stream H.264 can also “glitch” a hardware decoder and provoke BSOD. And even when an error (number, address, and library) is known it is sometimes difficult to know the real reason of the critical error.
Software of the set PTG Engine does not provoke BSOD when it is being operated. In case if BSOD is provoked do your best to find out the real reason of an error looking for it Microsoft documentation. BSOD is a consequence not a reason. If BSOD takes place while you are attempting to install DVB-card driver then there is a conflict with some other equipment installed at your computer or a conflict with your previous driver which has not been uninstalled manually (in this case Windows tries to initialize the second driver for the device for which another driver has already been initialized before. In this case BSOD takes place as well).
Forums and Internet-communities
PTG does not lead a forum but we do not plan to organize it. Our equipment is released under the "It simply works and that’s!". We don’t have anything to hide about the product and that’s why you can freely discuss it in any available for you forum. And meanwhile we don’t have an opportunity to moderate messages leaving only positive ones and deleting messages of unsatisfied clients which always will exist disregarding the fact how qualitative the product is.
We understand that the process of setup of satellite equipment (antenna, converter, rotor, Diseq-switch and others) and of PC (Operational systems, programs, codecs and others) will always arouse additional questions. It is impossible to prepare instructions "for all ocasions". That’s why we would like to recommend you participating in satellite Internet-communities enriching "Knowledge Database", and taking information useful for you.
